Still having mad usb-onnection problems

Hi I'm recording through usb to my macbook pro 2012 13". I'm using firmware 11.03.

I'm having latency problems, almost one 1 second delay time, and i have downloadet all the new firmwares. I tried garage band to minimize cpu usage, but I had the same latency problems.

Another thing, do you guys have to open your DAW's and hit record to hear the axe through your monitors? Isn't it possible to have axe->computer->Mackie onyx-> monitors? Do I have to use my daw just to play and not record?

Latency is determined by settings on your computer. What application(s) are you using?

It is better to connect the monitors to the Axe-Fx, or Axe-Fx and computer to a mixer (or a multi-input soundcard with zero latency monitoring) then from there to your monitors.

I'm just using logic pro 9 and axe edit

I just wanted to avoid messing with the back of the axe when I take it from my studio to rehearsel and what not.

So you say, Axe -> soundcard -> monitors and then use the usb for AE?

Everything would just be so much better if I could use the USB function.
