He decided to pop onto FB and into a JEM/PIA/UV users group over the weekend; it took 2 days before people finally understood it was actually him. He was trippin' out over all the JEM/UV collections and custom models people have made. He had no clue that the JEM fans were that rabid about them and it was pretty cool to see him take a few seconds to comment to almost everyone.

Vai will always be the coolest guitar player in the world as far as I'm concerned.

The dip on that Pia is stunning. Love it. Looks like he had the vine colors on the neck matched to the dip colors as well.

Actually, the 3 limited models had colored vines, with the white one having just color smaller leafs/petals.

I would think effects (as he did with the previous rack-mount Axe Fx). He's been using the Synergy modular amps for the past few years. I could be wrong.
