Static noise with acoustic pickup

Hey there - just wondering if anyone had some insight into this quirk I'm experiencing.

I bought an X2 Double acoustic pickup off of Amazon. Surprisingly good for the price. It had a wireless receiver and through my acoustic patch on the FM9 I'm experiencing a lot of static noise. It sounds like white noise, and it only cuts through when the gain is up on the pickup and when notes/chords are played.

I figured it was the pickup/receiver, but when I plugged it into my acoustic amp - an Acoustic Image Coda R3 - the static is nowhere near as intense.

I tried it all with a wired connection, and the static was less present but still there with the FM9.

My acoustic preset is pretty simple, with just a pre and some compression/EQ.

Does this have something to do with differences in impedance or other electrical differences between the FM9 and the acoustic amp?
Is there anything I can do to reduce or remove this static noise?
I have a K&K Pure Mini in another acoustic and when I plug that into the FM9, the static noise isn't there.

Cheers

Interessting, I expierenced the same static noise. So far I used input 2 for accoustic - well, its a Godin guitar with piezos. The noise is that strong that I decided to not use the piezos. I am pretty sure it wasnt always like this, but first off I thought its a guitar issue like missing ground connection or shielding.

Those acoustic piezo pickups can often be noisy especially if you run them through a lot of gain. They are especially sensitive to any movement like brushing with your palm, or using a wammy bar as they are intended to pickup physical movement. You can try different impedance settings, lower input impedance might possibly result in less noise but might change the tone a little too, also possibly in a good way. Try to keep the gain and treble/presence a low as you can. Maybe use some EQ to get rid of low and high frequency noise. You can use a noise gate as a last resource.

I think you've misread my original post.

It isn't the piezo pickup that is having the noise issue - it is the magnetic/mic pickup. The piezo has no noise at all.
