Standalone Interface vs Mic Pre/Axe-Fx III

Hello, I am a Logic user and want to record some acoustic guitar. I have been going direct with the Axe-FX III for my electric guitar and bass sound and loving it. I haven't really experienced the recording delay that others have. The price of a decent Mic Pre to use with the Axe-Fx III is about the same as something like the Apogee Element or UA Arrow/older Apollo.

Which would you choose and why for this situation? This would mostly be for acoustic guitar, occasionally a vocal, and rarely a 1-2 mic drum sound.

i'd choose an interface. i enjoy having the option of a separate interface dedicated with mic preamps, etc. you can leave the axe off when doing non-axe stuff, or even run the axe analog to it if needed.
