Southern Rock type of "sweet" sound?

I've been listening to some good ol' southern rock type of music and would like to ask, where would you start amp wise (etc) to achieve what I'd describe (probably wrongly ) as a "Southern Rock sweet sound". If Eddies sound was brown Id describe some of the southern rock tones I've heard as sweet. Any ideas to try out will be gratefully received.

I'd start with Plexi's/JTM 45's. Maybe some Tweed stuff.
