Hey,

Not sure if this belongs here but I'm very interested in the axe fx II.

I'd love to get a nice sound à la Slash (AFD), Randy Rhoads, Hendrix and thrash metal out of it.
Sadly i haven't found much recordings (I prefer youtube) of these sounds.
How capable is the axe fx II of doing these?
Anyone got some good recordings (of your own) to convince me?
The plan is using the axe with an Atomic powered wedge (which i already own btw)

The axe is capable to deliver everything a guitarist needs and in the best possible way quality-wise.
It's up to you though to use it correctly to get what you need.
Simple as that.
 
Mark Day posted some recent Randy Rhodes stuff (Flyin High Again) on You Tube... sounds pretty dern good to me. He's also got some Scorpions stuff etc...

Haven't seen much Jimi or Slash though.... lots of VH however!
 
Jay mitchell made a recording of a plexi2 patch that sounded very jimi radio one'ish.
Try and look for that. It was on soundcloud btw
