Sound quality with audio interface

Yeah the converters in a $100 Focusrite today are gonna blow away the best converters you could possibly find in any million+ dollar studio from the 90s. Conversion quality is a non-issue in 2024

I use AES for connection with the fractal. It works great. I always had the problem that recording trough USB changes the sound. But now it sounds exactly like it supposed to be.

No way! We switched one production studio completely to the AXE III as the main audio interface.
And we'll never go back for sure.

Seems to be hit and miss. I have Apollo X8 interfaces which do, but oddly the x8p which is the bigger one does not.

Not really. It's ostensibly used for digitally connecting devices together rather than connecting directly to a computer.

I know audiophiles will debate their HiFi systems endlessly, but for the rest of us it's a non-issue. So, IMHO, no, using an expensive audio interface won't make your Axe-FX sound any better.

You mean the guys with the high $$ power cords?
