Hey, whatever floats your boat. I'm all about variety being the spice of life. I remember you being a big TOOL fan, like myself. Other than options in the amp models (or KPA profiles), I have no idea why you'd want to ditch the AxeFxII for the KPA due to the serious limitations in effect blocks and routing possibilities. But if it's the right move for you, go for it. It would be interesting to hear you elaborate on the subject, though.
 
I think it's the same engine with different paint scheme, if you know what I mean. Does the new Kemper Bass profiler sucks for guitar tones?
 
I dont know the limitation of the kemper (effects, etc) but for me it's very appealing to have a processor for bass. like markbass multiamp or this new kemper with all the routing possibilities and amps etc. the idea of profile an entire rig its very interesting...
I really really hope for a special axe firmware for bass someday
