Solidstate metal amps - trying a different approach to get those tones

Here is an example of the tone straight from the Axe Fx. This is the intro of "Symbolic" by Death, which is one of the staple Valvestate tones out there. You can compare to that track but I didn't do any real mixing. I only used the Amp, Cab and PEQ block, plus chorus for the middle track.

Everytime I hear a « death » riff , I see myself listening tapes walking in the corridors of the high school .. ha nostalgia . I particularly loved the sound of perseverance album back in the days

The preset itself is super simple, you can create it on your end pretty easy. Its mostly just the IR and EQ + the power amp being off. Its either a york audio 1960a IR or a custom one, can't exactly remember from the file name alone. Amp settings are G: 10, B: 9, M: 3, T: 6, P: 10.

Guitar also is huge on any Marshall style amps like this, if you dont have a super high output humbucker (sh-6, x2n, jb, etc.) I would put a mild overdrive in front of it.
I appreciate the input. Thank you very much.
