Solid state or tube power amp?

I am torn. I want my tone to be as close to a real guitar amp as possible

Do you recommend a tube power amp into a guitar cabinet, or a solid state power amp into a guitar cabinet???

If I am correct, by using a solid state power amp you can keep the power amp section of the Fractal on, which may help?

I would appreciate your feedback

I can't say which is "better". I went with the solid state power amp and leaving on the power amp simulation on the AX8. This makes it easy to just use an FX Loop block on any of my presets in order to line-out to my power amp without having to set up specific presets with the power amp sim off.

Also, decent used ss power amps are easy to find and pretty inexpensive. I paid $100 for one in good shape. Bridged it gives me 350 watts which is way more than I need, but still in a reasonable range.

Solid state. I had a tube amp, it colored the sound very much, in a bad way, since the Ax already gives all the tone goodness you need. With SS amp, my rig sounds much better and saves 10kg.
