I saw the thread and video by @Tilt playing Lenny/SRV ... went into the studio and fired up my “quadraphonic” rig per @yek (FRFR up front plus two traditional 2x12 stereo guitar cabs powered by matrix gt1000 behind me) on the 04 preset for the Twin Reverb vibrato channel.
Placed a spring reverb in there along with some nice delays in the background, quack #4 pos on a Brondel and Thornton S-type in a half step tuning ... and holy smoke rings if the III didn’t just sound glorious!
A little FET boost for chime and grit plus a post amp EQ to get some thump, and bingo ... playing Lenny just sounds great.
Now, I don’t have the chops like SRV or Tilt but I walked away after 2+ hrs of fun thinking how great this magic black box delivers THE toanz.
I never cease to be amazed. Thanks again FAS.
