So the latest system updates include a fix for these bad actors.

I have not updated win7 in quite a while, as on occasion updating has messed with my DAW in unexpected ways, so I disabled updates. So my DAW has been offline - To go online, I go on for a second, then off again once I have DLed or ULed. How about you? You updated? Did it bork your DAW, PC? Offline? Or living dangerously?

These days, not updating is risky business. A pwned computer is way worse than a slow DAW.

I run Reaper, and I haven't had any issues so far.
