Small foot controller to turn a few blocks on and off

Looking for the best solution to control the on/off state of about 4 blocks. Is there a footswitch that would work well for this connected to the pedal inputs on the back of the axe fx? Or would it have to connect via midi? maybe 2 Boss FS-6 in latching mode connected to pedal 1 and 2?

Is there anything more advanced worth looking at? Looking for small footprint. Ideally it would be able to switch x/y states when holding down the button, and have 6 switches for up to 6 blocks/functions, though if that doesn't exist somehing to turn on and off 4 blocks would suffice.

Recommendations?

I think some folks on TGP are using this: MIDI Controllers : TB-5 MIDI controller

I use a TC Electronics Voice Live 3 for my rig anyway, so I programmed the guitar layer buttons to the control the Fractal. It does have a small footprint but would be way overkill if you just need foot control.

Does it have to be midi or would boss fa-6s work in the pedal output set to latching?

I have a TB-5 and it works nicely for having a small-footprint foot controller. 5 buttons, which can either be assigned to blocks, scenes, or patch changing, all independently. Also has an input for an expression pedal. Connects via MIDI.
