I swear my Axe-Fx isn't a glorified Nu-Metal machine. But as I said in the Iowa TM, I'm a big fan of the production on the first two slipknot albums. So, here we go....

The original has slightly tighter and perhaps lower gain guitars, and it's a little more raw, but the character of the tone is spot on imo.

Not true. It was a Mesa Boogie DC-5 through an old Carvin Cab with 100w speakers. Both guitarists used these.

downloaded the patch and its not complete / when completed doesnt sound like it... ??

When I join up the missing shunt and turn on whats off etc etc, it doesn't really sound like it... Got another save of it somewhere?

Cool patch! Had to adjust bass/depth to my liking, but good work none the less! Thanx for sharing.

I think I now know what the problem is/was... I didn't insert the tone match block in there and as mentioned, it won't show up on the older Axe Edit

in an interview i read that mick used a Rocktron Piranha with a 31 band eq in the loop ?
jim used a DC-5 for the couple song he did on S\T (a guy named Josh was in the band at the time)
