Simulate Higher Headroom

Other than just turning the MV down, how can we simulate a higher headroom amp like a Triple Rectifier with the current models? I know in the past Cliff has said that decreasing the transformer match gives the same effect as increasing plate voltage both of which should decrease power section distortion. Is there anything else we can tweak for this effect?

Use a triple rec? Use a triple rec but swap tonestacks? Tonestack swap on bass amps?

I have bumped a wish for 200w+ heads.

If you want more headroom / less distortion:
change Speaker clipping to Hard; reduce Power Supply sag; increase the hardness of power amp and preamp tubes; change the power amp tube from, say EL34 to KT77; reduce transformer drive; reduce bias excursion; lower input trim to .5 (Yek's recipe for simulating the Normal channel of Fenders); Turn the MV to 10 and use Level to control the output. And go find a primer on gain staging.
