New to the AxeFx III here. In fact it hasn't arrived yet so...

Let me ask silly question #1

I thought I saw a video somewhere (maybe Leon Todd) where the Youtuber ran a tube amp head thru a load box into his AxeFx III to utilize pre and post amp effects with his fav tube amps as well as cab sims and IRs..

Is this possible? That would be such a cool freakin plus!!

If you have an amp that isn't modeled in the Axe-Fx then it can make sense to do. Also, it can be fun to see the tubes glow and to turn some actual knobs every once in a while.

To maybe save me from selling my lil Marshall, Mesa Boogie and PRS MT15 ;) Not to mention my Two Notes Torpedo Live and Kahayan amp and cab switcher?

It’s definitely possible and it’ll also convince you that you made a great purchase.
Take a line out of your loadbox and put that into input 2 on the fractal.
Pull up the identical amp model on the AXEDIT grid.
Feed input 1 and input 2 into the same cab IR.
Switch between the real head and the model. Pepper to taste to get them the same.
Hear a difference?
Me either.
