Shure SE535 vs SE846

G'day all,

I use a pair of SE535s for my day to day listening. They are good, however a little light on the bottom end. I've been looking at the Shure SE846 earphones as they aparently have a better bottom end.
Does anyone have experience with both of them? I felt guilty spending so much on the 535s - the 846 are twice that! Sheesh...
Have you heard them both? If so, I'd really value your description of the differences.
Thanks
Pauly

Depending on what you're used to, maybe the 535's don't lack bass, you just expect more.
Flat sounding systems (FRFR) for some music types is a little boring. I like a little more bass, like I might turn up a subwoofer a bit higher than the mains to give it more low end.

Any in ears with a better seal will give you better bass. Have you tried the different plugs the come with the 535's?

Lastly, I'm with @Jeries, at 846 money you should be looking for custom molded
