Show us your VP4 pedalboard / rig!

I have a Synergy 20IR with the Z Wreck module, have run the VP4 into the front and it sounds great (using either Mojotone British Lite 1-12 or Marshall ST112). Could also use it 4-cable or into the effects return but I prefer stuff in the front as I know how it will behave. The VP4 can also make the clean channel in the Synergy more usable - I find the tone isn't sufficient to get what I want.

Main plus for me is weight - head is under 20lbs.
Just curious what you meant by "the tone isn't sufficient to get what I want"? Do you mean when using the 4 cable method, or ...?

Talking strictly about the clean channel on the 20IR head - with a module they are 3-channel heads. There is volume and tone, but that doesn't give me a usable tone. Adding in some eq in the front end fixes that.

I don't do 4-cable, I prefer to have a simpler setup and run everything in the front of the amp. There are two identical channels in the Z Wreck preamp, instead of doing channel switching for leads/etc I set one up for humbuckers, the other for single coils so I get similar volumes and amount of breakup.

Ok all the pieces are in place for the next iteration of my VP4 rig! I just need to wire everything up so it will work the way I want it to.

Synergy 20 IR head, Friedman BE/BB mod, Mesa Mini Recto 112 V 30, PXM for the WDW mode! everything controlled using the Luminight M2!

Should be a potent little rig!

I love this. Tell me about that signal chain and how you're getting WDW.

Same questions as above for Sixstring. What's your signal chain and how are you accomplishing WDW?
Well, it's actually Wet Moist Wet, but I say WDW because it's less confusing sounding. I start with the micro looper because I use that to help create and tweak dirt, EQ, and especially VP4 presets. Then comp > od200 > Fullbore > EQ > Halo > EB vol > DL4 > Amp Detonator ABY splitter. A goes to my Vox amp, and B > IR-2, VP4 set to Stereo in the effects loop of IR-2 > CleanBox > studio monitors. Now the Halo and DL4 are both in my dry signal, which is what makes it moist. There are times when I just am running my vox, and I want some delay in there. I also often like having one, or both delays running into the Vox and monitors, while having different delays and FX from the VP4 in the effects loop going just to the studio monitors. This is especially fun when coming up with outrageous ambient sounds in stereo. I had room on my pedal board, so I kept the Halo on there because it's such a well thought out pedal, it has some great delays....and that Halo setting is glorious, even though the VP4 has the Aurora. I sometimes run the Aurora and the Halo at the same time, and often use the freeze on the Halo to go to ludicrous speed on sounds. My DL4 has two really cool modulated swell volume presets I've had for 20 years. I have no memory of how I came up with them, but for this to work, that swell has to go to both A and B ... Otherwise the non swell signal would slam the Vox, and then you get this delayed swell in the monitors afterwards. Not ideal. Using the volume pedal for the swells doesn't sound nearly as good. Having both A and B also applies for when I use the DL4 Looper function.

ps..The Amp Detonator is the perfect ABY to switch between all 3 channels, and has a phase button which is crucial for this set up. The Nux is a 60 buck tiny tank of a channel switcher, which I use a ton for banking up/down on my EQ-200. The CleanBoxPro is a line leveler for my studio monitors. The IR-2, which is a genius little pedal, didn't seem to have enough oomph to push the monitors. This baby compensates for that, and I can also adjust the wet signal up or down on the fly against my Vox if I want, without having to adjust the back of each monitor.

It's an experiment for sure! I have been trying to come up with a switching network, hopefully with a little help from @WKSmith for the balanced out and 4CM at the pedal board! So it will be either or not both. Everything will came down the snake and go to the switch then hit the amp, VP4 and cabs.

In stereo mode it will be WDW, mix dry mix however you want to refer to it with the delays, verbs and other stereo effects that would sound good post amp/ IR on the balanced out from the head running to the VP4. The speaker cab will be dry! It will require setting up the VP4 in a stereo mode so not really an on the fly solution but it should work!

In 4CM it will be mono in all three cabs. Initially I had the FR cabs dead but figured I can send the signal to the from the XLR out as well while in that mode to keep the volumes even. Or if I want to drop the FR cabs and reduce the size of the over all footprint I can just run the head, cab and board and still have a very potent compact rig!

Not sure of the outcome just yet but I will keep the thread updated as to weather or not it works!

The only thing missing from this setup is way to run 4CM with stereo post effects. Other than that this is my favorite rig of all time.
Currently running VP4 post only. Depending on the preset I will have the IR's on the Friedman turned off and utilize the IR block on the VP4.

I didn't think I could fit this WDW rig in my current space but here we are. Home use only FWIW.

The QC is handling amps and cabs and a few effects. VP4 is doing the heavy lifting for effects. Badlander 25 just powering the custom BFG oversized 2x12 cab with V30's in the middle. @WKSmith Archangel V3 equipped FR-12s on the left and right taking care of the wet signal.

Dry signal is being passed out of the QC's output 3 (1/4" jack). Wet signals going out from the QC's output 1&2 XLR jacks to the FR-12s.

One of the awesome things about modelers is how easy it is to reconfigure things. It would be easy to have this be mono out of any/all of the three speakers, stereo, wet dry, wet dry wet, whatever.

After shakedown at a few rehearsals and more experimentation, this may be pretty close. Belle is first, then VP4, then the Ibanez Booster at the end for that kick over the cliff heading into the Bartel. MC3 is working exactly how I wanted, dialed Drive block outputs back up on each preset - the usual, "sounds right at home, too quiet in a live mix" thing. The boost also helps work around that in a pinch as well. Now onto the FM9 - no rest for the obsessive...

Got my VP4 yesterday and I'm now planning to put it aside the BluGuitar Amp1 in 4CM. Both units fit well on a PT Metro 20 for a light / compact grab-n-go rig.
I need to figure out how to connect the MIDI cable as the Amp1 has a proprietary plug + cable so I'll probably have to get a 5 PIN Midi into a small TRS jack in order to connect it with the VP4.

Small variations on what I think it's already a great board.
I'm set on the TempleAudio Duo17 as the max size I'll go up to so trying to maximise the space as much as possible, hence the pedals I set and forget under the board (including a cali76 stacked under that bar in the middle). I have the fractal in duo mono chain so I can play around with fx before and after my dirt section.

Also, thanks @Hhuent for the tip reg. the dark glass pedal :)
