Should I Turn up the volume using my Axefx2 or my Poweramp?

is there a preference? Does it even matter?

I have a Matrix gt1000fx, my Axefx II, and a power conditioner running through to my Ampeg cab.
 
it makes pretty much no difference…


I have a GT1000FX.. it's permanently set to somewhere between 1/2 way and 2/3 of max..
I use the output knob on the Axe front panel to set the level I want..
simply cos it means turning one knob instead of two..

I also have a Matrix and use guitar cabs. So, the Matrix is pretty much up half way on both channels (using stereo cabs) and I use output2 front knob for volume to guitar cabs back line and output1 to FOH (set it and forget it; let sound guy manage from there).

I tend to use the Axe's output knob as well, and leave my Freyette 2/90/2 about half-way up. I also have a pot in a box running to exp2 input on the MFC, but that's only incase my rack isn't conveniently close.
