so switchcraft makes this cool, super-short 1/4" plug:

I've used these before, and been really happy with them. I like the square head plugs too.

Cool options, thanks guys. If i go for those G&H ones I gotta find a better source tho - $20 for shipping a few plugs!

I used the Square Plug TRS ones for my board. They result in a very flat profile.

yeah I've used those too (and i LOVE them, they are about as flat as you can get), but in this case I want a straight one as it'll be in active use, ie plugging and unplugging frequently.

I use mine to route to equivalent jacks at the end of my board which take the wear of inserting and removing the plugs.

I use the Temple Audio Duo-24 and their 4x mod for the guitar and two controller connections, then short XLR for those connections to the other end of the board, to avoid any projecting plugs on the back plane of the modeler.

SquarePlug SPS6 wouldn't work? They're .88" long vs. that 1" long Switchcraft. There aren't too many short TRS options out there.
