Share Your Delays

I've been having some trouble finding delays I like in the Axe, so I know that it's 100% me and no fault of the Axe. So, I set out to create some patches and save some delay blocks I liked in the Library in Axe-Edit. I thought I'd share one or two of what I've come up with listening to delay pedals I liked and trying to dial in that sound.

I'll get the ball rolling with this delay I created when I found the Old Blood Noise Endeavours Black Fountain Delay. The pedal is based on old oil can delay designs that preceded tape delay (AFAIK). It's warm, gooey, and warbly. Like a hot jar of watery jelly. Enjoy (FW19.0b2): View attachment Oil Can Delay.syx

And please do participate. Just share your favorite delay you have. Doesn't have to be modeled after a certain pedal or piece of gear, just something cool you like.

Well I just choose those delays then go inside and set delay time to the times I listed
and save as and move on..

I dont really mess with too much else in the delay block
setting wise mainly just get levels set at unity and
save when it sounds right to me...

I just go in make it up pretty quickly to ear and
save and move on.

I dont know how to screen cap an image here
so I just typed out what I set things too.
I dont get too far into the other settings just levels delay times
repeats thats it.

You might try those settings make some up see what you think.

I encourage you make the patch because its good practice and hands on
training and I was encouraged too do the same and that was very good advice
because it forced me to get in and learn and make the patches by ear.

They say 10,000 hours at something and you get pretty good at it.
a few more FW upgrades and having to go in and reset everything
and Ill just about be there..

Kidding aside its good practice and its helped me be able to get around in
the big black monolith of tone.

Maybe more will chime in here and help out..

I agree, it's good to do that. That's how I did that oil can delay.
