Shai Hulud - Reach Beyond The Sun

I love the way the guitars sound on this record, so I thought I'd give tone matching a shot with my newly acquired Axe II. Let me know your thoughts/comments. But like I said, it's my first attempt so GO EASY ON ME

Chatting with Matt Fox, he mentioned that they used a Bogner and a VHT on the album, so I used the Euro Uber amp block as a starting point.

Love the new record, hate the guitar sound.

This is possibly the most compressed to utter destruction tone I've heard in a while. They totally ruined it with compression. Or it was mastered to death. Either way dynamically lifeless.

The high end sounds so harsh and splatty...


As for your playing and tone match, well done.
