It basically tights everything up, I used it when I had the 2:90 and Triaxis for aggressive rhythm sounds.
Didn’t need it or use it with the Axe.

Regarding the 2:90 other switching, I didn't touch HALF ever, even @ home, I run it all the time full 2x90w.
As mentioned, I had DEEP engage all the time and that's it.

in full agreement with what roadrunner has said thus far. i play exclusively through the deep and modern setting (the tone is weak in my opinion without either of these engaged), and add a hair of sag on the power amp setting. i keep the presence to about 9:00.

the modern setting sounds like it compresses the signal a bit and tighten things up. i go for a modern high gain tone, so this works for me. good luck tweaking!!

I always have the deep and modern engaged, I keep the presence around 11:00 o'clock. Great amp!!!
