Setting up expression pedal 3

I can't for the life of me figure out how I set up my first two expression pedals hooked to the mfc.
In the control menu I have ext controller 1 set to 11, ext controller 2 set to 16
What do I set ext 3 to so that my third expression pedal will work for ext controller 3 in the mod menus?
 
Manual says
ext1 16
ext2 17
ext3 18
ext4 19
..
ext9 24

So-and here is the part that gets me...if you have MFC jack1 set to 11, that will be volume(I set out1 and out2 to 11)
The next pedal-jack 2 on the MFC, I set to 16. So my ext1 is really on jack2. Confusing, aint it?

It also mentions a learn function. Guess I should read the manual. Keep in mind-you probably need to tweak it on the MFC side to match.
 
Damn confusing it is.
I have out 1 and out 2 set to none.
I just want all 3 of my expression pedals to only control modifier controls.
Ext 1 i usually use for a wah block
Ext 2 I use for a volume block
And ext 3 I was probably gonna use for delay or whammy or something.

Anyone have any idea what all
These numbers mean. Lol
 
Yes I did. I couldn't remember how it was done when I first did it last year.
The only default I changed was the volume out to none.
