Matching is easy, if you happen to have access to Metallica’s amps. Matching from recordings is another matter entirely. You’ll see plenty of “I did it in 5 minutes” statements, but the actual product of those “matches” isn’t all that.
Still, if you’ve never owned the flagship, I’d say go for it! The FC12 will give you familiar foot control, and you’ll have that “if a Fractal unit can do it, I can do it” experience. It’s an awesome unit, and you can try all the things. Everybody ought to fly the B52 bomber of the line at least once.
