Satriani Sounds & Jam

Here's my Satriani sound that I spent some time tweaking. I'm sure it's not perfect, but I used pictures of his gear and tried to recreate it. I'm happy with the way it came out! If you like it, I can tell you the specifics of my gear and settings.

The jam is just unrehearsed soloing (the way I like it). One section has wah, another has some octave style distortion (all based on Satriani's rig).

Advice and comments are welcome!

Those are some of the best lead sounds I've heard yet from an Axe-FX. Nice!

Heck, I like your lead sound here better than Satch's own on his last few albums. He really needs to ditch the Palmer speaker simulators and either get an Axe-FX or go back to recording real cabinets.

Thanks for the feedback so far! Here's the preset, hope you enjoy.

Also, here's one of the pictures I used to tweak everything. I tried to get everything right as far as order and such. I did use the Peavey 5120 amp instead of the one in the picture simply because I read elsewhere that Joe used that more recently.

Hi:

Thanks for the preset. Which amp model are you using? When I load this patch using the editor I get a Recto Orange model. Just confirming as I'm not sure the editor is properly loading presets the forum members post.

Also - what type of guitar are you using and can you provide more info on how you recorded the clip?

Thanks

thanks man, awesome patch!

Bah, sorry, that's my Mesa model. The offset thing caused it to save patch 4 instead of 5 I think. First time I've used this editor thing...

Try the download again, this time it should be the right preset.
