Rupert Neve Designs DI Box for Mic + IR Shooting

I fast forwarded the video three times and every time it started rolling the guy was saying "Neve tonality". Let's just say that it seems like they're selling with the Neve name.

Yeah it does have that "it's Neve so it IS good" thing going on.

But to be honest, the kit from RND that I have seen and used is really really good. But not necessarily magic :)

It took me a while when I was first starting out to realize it is "what" is being layed down that was the magic, not necessarily the gear used to capture it.

The "epiphany" was when I sat in on my first pro tracking session. The songs sounded like hit records while they were being tracked. Just jaw dropping. Very little compression and eq while tracking.

Starting with material like that, the mixing and mastering is a whole different process than your average punter recording amateur gigs / shows.
