running in stereo

i have an Axe ultra and am running it with a stereo tube power amp and two guitar cabs.

I've noticed whenever i make a patch only the leds on the Left side of input 1 show an incoming signal.

I still get out put from the left and right unbalanced outputs on the rear of the axe.

how do i configure it so that i have a reading for both left and right inputs on the face of the unit?

...or so that i may be able to use input 1 and 2 and output 1 and 2?

That's perfectly normal. You are inputting a mono signal (your one guitar cable), so only one side will light up (the left led's monitor the front guitar input on your AxeFX.)

All the 'stereo-izing' is being done in the box, hence you get dual ouputs from your single input.
