Roland G5 Strat?

The recent Variax thread got me thinking about the G5 Strat. Does anyone here have experience with them? They don't have as many guitar models or tuning options as a JTV, and it doesn't appear to be customizable... but it IS a Strat.

(if only they would make a guitar that had both the G5 and TriplePlay... ;-)

Any thoughts?

I don't think it get a lot of attention because of the Line 6 JVT, Im just thinking out loud here as I don't have any experience with ether.

Given my issues with my K-town JTV69, I've been looking to try the Fender/Roland versions as well. If I get to try one out I'll report back here.

I have a G5. It is such a great Strat, it became one of my main guitar. the stock magnetuc pickups sound so good I bearly use the modeller part of it.
