Following Scott Petersons awesome method of building a patch from his presentation at Axe FX West (look in the AxeFXII Discussion subforum, fantastic presentation), I bring you my most realistic sounding patch yet (in my opinion
)!!!
I used a slight reverb to give the cab a room, instead of using the room level, and then chose an amp and fooled with some cabs with everything at noon. I chose one of Ownhammer Beta cabs, the "OH BETA 412 Bogner V31 SM57 W-8" and then tweaked from there. Then I wanted to also just give it another color so I added in the stock 4x12 1950A G12 that's in the axe, and blended it
this isn't a high gain patch but obviously you can turn it up if you feel like it, I just wanted a classic rock/rock rhythm tone. I really love the definition in the highs and then the lower end thickness as well, tell me what you think! Also there were some awesome Rush covers posted in the forum earlier so it inspired me to show off this patch over some Rush. I choose the Spirit of The Radio verse because it seemed like it fit well! this is NOT a match, but just an example of it over some awesome music.
here's a lead example of the patch, with a TS808 in front of the amp:
