Rip Van Winkle syndrome - need advice on getting current

I've been out of touch and off the forum for a few months and I feel like I've been asleep for a year.

I'm running on 10.10 and now we're on 11.05? New drivers? New Bot? And what???? a working Axe Edit???? Jeeeez, I need a new Avatar.

Anyway, I'm hoping for any advice based on issues that have gone on regarding what order to upgrade everything so that I'm current.

Always do bot first., Back up your stuff (either through bot or on to internal flash). Use bot to upgrade FW. Get AE
