Did this right b4 I got the Ultra using DI clean guitars and UAD Nigel for the lead (and my midi guitar for the piano's). I reamped the clean guitars - one guitar through the boutique, the other the Jt45.
Everyone hates Nigel, but I've always found it worked for me so I just layered a reamped Plexi sim on top of it. It added lots of non-plastic fuzzy goodness to the mix.
