Reverb w/ Live Hard Rock or Metal?

Generally do not use it live. But for a couple of Sabbath songs like Black Sabbath and NIB that are pretty reverb heavy on the albums I do.

I thought for sure after 14 posts someone would have mentioned the importance of using EQ on the reverb signal. I use a low cut in the range of 200–700 Hz and high cut no higher than 10K. This allows you to use a higher mix setting too, so it feels more reverby without making a mess.

@Admin M@ Thanks Matt, it really makes a difference. Do you use this kind of EQ settings with the delay aswell?

Matt,

What about the highs? What range do you recommend for the high cut?

Some of my reverbs are mere slivers. Lows cut at 600 and highs cut at 4.5k.

Answering the question, "Where should reverb tone controls be set" is like answering the question, "What color car should I buy?"
There are some classic choices, but it ultimately totally depends on context.
