We need all of it, the good and the bad.
I do see the point that if you are committing totally to the AXE then it would make sense that some of you would just want to go straight to a PA system or straight to the Pro Tools rig, bypassing power amps and cabs all together.
I have played out for 30 years and even in the best situations a music town like Austin does not really have venues with PA that supports giving me my total guitar sound, and most of the monitor rigs are lacking.
In those venues I would use my AXE with a power amp and 2-12 cabs.
At home, direct to Pro Tools is fun... but in a real World situation I like to feel some air moving from something besides a monitor wedge... cab and power amp sims on or off... it seems to keep the tone moving forward and off the stage instead of just floating and fighting with the bass and drums.

been listening to mystic redneck all week.. great tone, I prefer FRFR but I'm seriously considering the RC.
