RedWirez w/AxeFx II?

Hi All

I am totally new to the world of third party IRs and I just purchased the Redwirez Big Box Collection. As I understand it the IRs in the collection for the Axe II are all 2048 sample IRs. My question is....does this mean I am to use them ONLY in the Mono Hi Res cab blocks?

I did email RedWirez and the rep wasn't familiar enough with the internals of the Axe to know for sure....but he thought that the 2048 IRs could be used in the lower res blocks and that they would get truncated to 1024 (I am to much of an IR novice to know what that means).

He's right. Bottom line is that if you load hi res cabs, the AxeFx will use them gracefully whether running in 2048 or 1024 sample mode.
