Recording with usb and focusrite

Just bought Focusrite and tried to record in Ableton through usb direct to the PC, but no sound is being recorded. I do manage to record sound in when I switch to to Audiacity.

Anyone who knows what settings needed?

Sounds like your audio device is not set up correctly in ableton? A little more info on how things are connected up would help.

Did you select the Focusrite in Ableton? Assign inputs? Anything like that?

Ye input from usb Axe fx and output Foucusrite.

I don't think you can record Input of the Axe FX via USB and also listen back with USB on the Focusrite at the same time. Both are recognized as an ASIO audio device and only one can be selected at a time.

Looks like you can do it on a Mac easily. On Windows, you'll need to get the ASIO4ALL plugin.

I tried that. No sound is being recorded.
Then I tried Protool First and the special plugin to go with it and Focurite. After that after all playback through the soundcard began to spark and distort, so had to remove that again.....So only thing that works in Audacity. Then I can record with usb fra Axe and play it thround Focusrite
