Recording output?

So I have the Axe-fx ii set up as my interface into logic. Input 1+2 in and output 1+2 out. Problem is I am also using the axe-fx to monitor via output 1. So when I record there is two outputs playing at once: the output from logic and my guitar output. This results in a echo/reverb type effect while recording. How do you only monitor from logic ie set the guitar output to USB and have logic only to output one.

In Logic there must be a switch where you get to pick what you listen to when recording, like monitor source or output...something like that. Usually each track has it's own option for that. I don't know of a choice like that within the AxeFx itself

Yes, disable software monitoring in Preferences/Settings.

Yes that was it. Thank you. Now I have to minimize the amount of popping sounds. Set the buffer to 128 (up from 32, lol), but it occasionally still happens.
