Hey folks! Long time.
Short and sweet: Bass player has blown 2 cabs over the years...starting to think it's a problem with his amp head (truly, he's not even THAT loud when this happens).
Since he's looking at having to replace these things anyway, I'm trying to talk him into taking full advantage of his Helix (yeah, sorry, not Fractal, lol) with an FRFR cab. We're gonna need something that can stand up to stage volume (playing at bars too small to mic, but too big to not be loud, if that makes sense).
Budget is of course a consideration, as he's not exactly ROLLING in the money, but he doesn't want to buy something that'll crap out on him from being turned up too much, either. So, what say you, gang?
EDIT: We'll be playing mostly Hard Rock and a little bit of metal here and there. Many of our gigs will be decent sized bars with no PA support for the bass (That's just how it goes sometimes lol)
