Really how much better could it be??

So I am currently using a set of Yamaha 600i powered speakers with my AX8 and I have a little play money and am considering replacing those with either the new QSC K 10.2 or 12.2 speakers or the Friedman ASM12's. Don't get me wrong the 600i sound great but I have never had any FRFR speakers or the QSC's before. Is it really worth switching? Thanks for your input

If it sounds great don't waste your cash for what's going to amount to a sound that is marginally better.

+1. If you have the money to experiment without making sacrifices, then by all means have fun. Not suggesting it absolutely applies to the gear your asking about, but like with all things there is a point of diminishing returns where cost increases exponentially and quality marginally. At a minimum, you should get your rig to a shop and audition things side by side or purchase from a vendor with a liberal return policy to avoid spending for the sake of spending.

Go for the best you can afford but keep in mind the cost goes up dramatically and the improvement is a greatly diminishing return.
