FM9 Really challenging solo I saw Rick Beato cover

Last week I watched the incredible Rick Beato video “Breaking Down The Most Complex Rock Guitar Solo” played by Carlos Rios on Gino Vanelli’s song “Brother to Brother” from way back in 1978. So last night, I recorded my attempt (this was the 2nd take) of me playing through this really difficult solo live. I had practiced the individual parts but I had not played along with the original recording until last night (hint, it’s not perfect). This one was definitely a challenge, some incredible playing here by Carlos Rios!! Gear here was my Suhr Modern into my FM9.

As a kid I was a big fan of Vanelli, and especially the entire funk-rock album Brother to Brother with the incredible music and guitar playing on it. Melody, skill, emotion, tone ... Maybe a little slick and smooth, but that was also a sign of the times.

This is super mind-bending awesome.

All I know of Gino Vanelli is Black Cars and Wild Horses -- both perfectly awesome pop songs -- but this is something I need to look into!
