Re-Loving my FM9 Turbo mkII after playing Helix Stadium and others.....

Fractal Fanatic
I have tried just about all out there sans the Fender TMP. Nothing delivers what Fractal does. Nothing else sounds and feels the same as Fractal. Editor is second to none and the options to sculpt your sound is truly invigorating. Realism, size of amp collection and the best effects anywhere. Gapless switching and Eventide(or better) quality sonics. It is in a class of it's own and if you are on the fence....get off and start having fun!

Still enjoying the current tech Cliff is delivering and I am sure the next iteration will be even more astounding.

I owned a helix stomp for several years and it always felt disconnected from my hands and guitar. The only way to make it shine was to a tube amp return. It was still a good value for money but the FM3 is leaps and bounds better. Same with every plugin. ( I tried them all). They feel disconnected no matter the sound card.

I do own and use a Line 6 HX One pedal. Great unit and use in true bypass just after wireless and straight into the FM9 front. Great fast on fly to get something quick and while not taking CPU away from FM9. The TC Electronics Plethora series looks cool too for this.

I just got a used HX One as wll to run with my AM4 and actually really like it as well for what it is. The ODs/Dist on it also play well wit hthe FAS drives for stacking.

I have a TMP, currently on loan to my guitar buddy in a band. I thought it is a good sounding unit with a very slick interface, and he continues to use and love it. That simple interface was indeed tempting, but I just liked the FM9 tones and effects better. Maybe having played FAS gear for the last 15 years makes it more familiar to me but, whatever it is, I wasn’t lured away by the new experience with the TMP.

If something better came out, I’d be using it. I’m kinda expecting that ‘something better” to eventually show up… with Fractal Audio System’s name on it.

Cool. I've never owned one; just repeating what I've seen at our other place. From a couple of people who've had them. The thing I would want to use a One pedal for would be the pitch shifting (Poly Capo). I prefer the FAS VC for that.
