Question: S-PDIF recording with power amp and cab setup

Heya,
this might be a dumb question, but:

- I'm running a power amp and cab setup
- power amp and cab sim are OFF
- I want to record loops from the AX8 to garage band

When I run from the AX8 into my computer using S-PDIF, does the DAW capture cab-less audio? Like, will my cabs even factor into the equation? Or do I HAVE to have cab sims running to capture quality audio?

Your best bet , because your real cabs do NOT factor into the recording unless you mic them...,but the AMP block does, is to do separate takes..on the larger AxeFxs dual amp and cab blocks make it simpler. Or you can use Cab-Lab in your garageband for this ...?probly other solutions exist.
