Question about Banks.

Sometimes if i am working on a patch in either bank B or C and i use my midi controller (Gordius) to activate a patch in bank A (where all my performance patches are stored) I end up getting sent to a totally unrelated patch. I have to power cycle my unit and then dial back to Bank A before it will work normally again. I don't get it and it is kinda giving me the shits.

I don't know if this is somehow related but the program change values on my Gordius only go up to 127/128 (depending on offset).

All I'm really asking is how do I go from one patch for example in bank A to a patch in bank B using my midi controller? What type of message do i have to send to determine which bank I am selecting?
