Lets call the number of each switch to

Alright, its now ready to go for 4Pr mode by using P1 P2 P3 and P4 button as a preset switch caller and C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 C6 C7 C8 as an instant access button.

Below is an example to change the scenes number for more detail please refer to the AxeII manual http://www.fractalaudio.com/downloads/manuals/axe-fx-2/Axe-Fx-II-Scenes-Mini-Manual-1.02.pdf

Ex.1 lets try to call a scene;

this example will show you how to call a scene of the Axe II
here is what scene number I need the buttons to be

Button C1 = scene 1
Button C2 = scene 2
Button C3 = scene 7
Button C4 = scene 8
Button C5 = nothing
Button C6 = nothing

for the instant buton, you can do same this way but just map CC# to the FCB8N

Delay 1 Bypass = CC#47
Drive 1 Bypass = CC#49
Flanger 1 Bypass = CC#56
Phaser 1 Bypass = CC#75
Pitch Shifter 1 Bypass = CC#77
Reverb 1 Bypass = CC#83

CC.CH = 01 (Midi channel#1 to send CC#)
C1.CC = 77 (Pitch Shifter 1 Bypass 77)
C1.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C2.CC = 41 (Chorus 1 Bypass = CC#41)
C2.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C3.CC = 47 (Delay 1 Bypass = CC#47)
C3.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C4.CC = 49 (Drive 1 Bypass = CC#49)
C4.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C5.CC = 56 (Flanger 1 Bypass = CC#56)
C5.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C6.CC = 75 (Phaser 1 Bypass = CC#75)
C6.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C7.CC = 77 (Pitch Shifter 1 Bypass = CC#77)
C7.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)
C8.CC = 83 (Reverb 1 Bypass = CC#83)
C8.dt = 127 (CC value 127 to on this effect)

5) Press save button. This will be saved and exit to Bank1-P2

once you saved it, C1-C8 LED will be on and the effects of the Axe will also on.

Hi there,
I'm having major difficulties with the Peak FCB4N2,
I'm very new to it & couldn't figure out how to have:

● 4 buttons for Looping, Tap function on BANK 1
● 4 of my effects "on/bypass" on BANK 2 ; let's say Delay, Chorus, Reverb, AutoWah
● 4 of my favorite amp modelers on BANK 3

There has to be a way to do this, I'm just not used to these at all. For some reason when I engage the Program function, and Edit P1 / 1 , it only allows me to select from patches #257 to #383
Shouldn't do this! :(

Help would be appreciated!

Sup guys, I'm in the process of deciding whether to purchase the FCB8N to use with my Axe Fx II. I would just like to know if the FCB8N can

1) Display the tuning function of the Axe Fx II
2) Can be powered by the Axe Fx II via Ethercon or any other method without having to use a wall wart
3) Would you recommend the FCB8N?

I'm kind of new to this midi thing and would love to get some info from guys who actually own the controller before I pull the trigger.

I dont think there's much out there for this kind day of money and it does everything you'd probably use. Would be nice to have another CC port it hey its cheap :)
I was tempted to look into some of these miss people have been doing on the fcb1010. Don't think I have the skills like that though...

HI, just picked one of these up and look good for the price.. Is there a way to configure the Px buttons to change scenes, or will they ONLY switch presets?

I think you'll find Izzyprad has listed the best options at the top. Happy to be wrong tho :)

I have been getting a few PMs regarding programming Scenes on Peak 2005 FCB8N....I thought I would post the way I programmed my Scenes,

The way I did was using 12 Pr mode.

I pretty much programmed the bottom 8 switches to change 8 scenes and the top 4 to change the patches. So the bottom 8 will change scene of WHATEVER PATCH I AM IN.

So first of all program all the bottom 8 switches to change the scenes...

Press to the first botton (P1) to assign button 1 as Scene 1
Then go to setup menu by pressing Bank up and Bank down switch
Then press Edit

Press Enter (Make sure P1, P2 and P3 are off...else it will change patch not scene)
P1 Ch: Off
Press Enter
P2 Ch: Off
Press Enter
P3 Ch: Off

Press Enter
CC Ch: 1 (Make sure CC Ch is set to 1, I believe it means midi channel 1)
Press Enter
C1 CC: 34 (Set this to 34 to change scene)
Press Enter
C1 dt: 0 (Set the data to 0, which means it will call scene 1......1 means scene 2, 2 means scene 3...etc)

----------
Press enter
C2 CC 85 (Go to axe fx manual...and see assign this is to Instant access number that you dont use...I set it to 85..which is ring modulator..which I dont use, if you dont set it to something else....it will act as instant access button as well.)
press Enter
C2 dt 0 (does not matter what you set it to)
----------

Repeat the steps inside the dash line for C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, and C8

Then save and exit

Congratulations...you have just assigned button 1 on the pedal to scene 1!! I know its pain in the ass! lol

Now go to button 2 (P2) and repeat all the steps above to assign P2 to scene 2. Make sure you set C1 dt: 1 ( which means it will call scene 2......1 means scene 2, 2 means scene 3...etc)

------------------------------------------
Now to assign the top 4 switches to patch 1, 2, 3 and 4....

Press to the Top left button (C1) to assign button 1 as Preset 1
Then go to setup menu by pressing Bank up and Bank down switch
Then press Edit

Press Enter
P1 Ch: 1 (if it is off, change it to 1 by pressing "INC +" button
Press Enter
P1.PC: 0 (0 means preset 1) you will see patch/scene on axe edit change as you increase this...so 0 mean preset 1, i think 8 is preset 2, 9 is preset 3 and 10 is preset 4
Save and exit

Hope that helps!

HI guys!! I'm new to this forum I recently bought an Axe FX 2 and a FCB8N. I followed Izzaprad instructions to ben able to switch scenes in 4PR mode, but I must do something wrong cuz when I'm trying to enter the data for C1.dt, C2.dt, C3.dt etc. The only parameter I can chose are 1, 128, tap 1or tap2. It seems to me that in 4pr mode the FCB8n can only switch ON and OFF effect blocks. Am I right ? I hope not, because I bought this controller with to be able to switch between preset AND scene. Can someone help me with this problem. Thanks a lot!!!!

Like I just mentioned a post above you, you need to do it in 12 Pr mode if you want to use Scenes.

If you use 4 Pr mode, you can only use them as Instant Access Buttons.
