Powering my GCP (Phantom Power) from AXE FX II

Hello all,

I'm trying to hook up my Ground Control Pro to my axe fx II. I used to do this thru a power wart that I used to have, but seem to have either misplaced it or included it in the sale of my Axe Fx Ultra. I've use the GCP with my Ultra for years, but cannot figure out what type of Power supply I can plugin to the AXE FX to power my GCP. I know in the manual it says to not plug power more than 1A into the back, but what specs do I need to power my GCP from my Axe Fx II now? Thanks!

My GCP Power Supply/adaptor is 9VAC @ 500mA. This is the original Wall Wart Voodoo Labs shipped to me. I've never tried to power my GCP via the MIDI cable (you need a 5 pin cable according to the GCP manual), so I cannot confirm everything is OK or not. Glancing at both the AxeFx manual and the GCP manual makes me think it should work, but I recommend you contact support with the specifics if you have any doubts whatsoever. Regardless, you now know what the power supply should be for the original power-wart.

I might suggest you get a midi cable like this where you can jack the power into a plug on the cable instead of running it through the AxeFX II.

I used one to power a GCP via midi for years before the MFC101 came along.
