Power went out while I was updating firmware! AXE FX 2 won't boot now!

Hi, The Power went out while I was updating firmware! AXE FX 2 won't boot now! It was almost complete.
When I turn it on the screen is blank and LED are lit it is stuck. Tried to boot up holding down recall. No luck
Hope someone can help.

Well, i think you will have to send the unit to Fractal.....

Sounds like you might have Corrupted the EPROM contact Support.

I think Fractal can send you an 'Emergency Boot ROM' and instructions on how to plug it in rather than you shipping the whole unit back to them .... support will advise.

I did that once, they sent me a new EPROM with Instructions right away. Installed it and was good to go no problem.

Ok, I have an emergency boot eprom on the way. Can anyone tell how this works? Will I loss my patches? I have them backed up via fractal bot. But they might be a few weeks old.

Am I crazy that I keep my Axe II on a battery powered UPS when I update? lol

Not sure if it deletes patches. I just Defaulted everything, and started from scratch. I didn't want to take any chances.

That's just plain bad luck mate! Maybe the Axe3 will have dual roms with one as a backup.
