Power amp sims on or off? Dilemma

I used to have the sims on all the time but following advice from folks here I have found I sometimes get better results with Sag at 0 (power amp sim off). Now I have a dilemma because I can't run all my presets FOH any more. Should I just raise Sag to minimum on those presets or is there another solution to getting sim off to my power-amp/cab setup and sim on to FOH?

well m8, that was my initial question right here too: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4901&start=0
i suppose there is no solution to this as of yet..

you would either have to separate the preamp from the poweramp sim (which in turn would raise problems / concerns with the placement of blocks in the layout), or you would need to have a switch that would deactivate poweramp sim on one output only.. but how would you do that, as it is part of the whole "sound-sculpting" processing..

maybe a firmware update in the future could solve this.. ;)

sorry i don't have any better than this..

If you arn't using two amps in your patches, split your path into duplicate amp sims and have one amp with the power amp on, the other one off, and route them accordingly. Might get complicated if you have a bunch of effects blocks though.

+1
why don't you just use 2 amps and split them, one to FOH and one to poweramp/cab?

run the FOH with amp sims on and run the other amp without them :?
