power amp repairs

I do see that the "Protect" like flickers or stays on even at low volumes... normal?

I can't see either the protect or signal lights in that video???

Its not normal for the protect light to come on with this sort of amp. You've not accidentally plugged it up for stereo inputs and then connected both outputs to the same cab have you?

Its normal for the signal lights to flicker on, or even stay on .. thats what they are supposed to do.

It is also normal for it to be quieter into an 8 ohm cab than a 4 ohm cab (half the volume) and even quieter into a 16 ohm cab.

Try doing the video again, this time with the camera pointed at the lights on the amp so we can actually see whats going on.

Oh i know, i've seen the signal light turn on and off because of volume level but the Protect light stays on and flickers for a bit then later turns off. I'll make a video when i can. Also, i've noticed that when i turn off the power amp, it sounds like its exhausted lol
