250K or 500K
Which pots to use for Seymour Duncan Hot Stack for Strat?
3 pickup set in a Strat.
 
Yeah I'm pretty sure all of Duncan's Strat sized pickups are meant to be used with stock 250K pots. The pot value won't hurt anything if you change it, but it will shift the resonant frequency of the pickup and generally make it sound either brighter with a higher value pot or darker with a lower value pot when using passive pickups.
 
Lots of people used the old red ones in HSS guitars with a 500K as well (Dan Huff's Tyler).
I generally go with what ever is in the bridge If it's going in a SSS strat 250K and in a HSS 500K . You can always use the Suhr wiring to get 250K for the single and 500K for the bridge HB.

Strat are mostly 250k. Better to go for the 250k than the 500k ones in my opinion.
