Plexi 100W 1970

I was playing around with some of the Plexis today and put this preset together.

Am I dreaming or is this amp much more wiry with more explosive attack than the 100W High? And in case I'm not; can someone explain why?

[Edit]: I should mention this is a FW 16.00 beta 4 preset

Thanks man, that is a great tone. I downloaded tried all of your updated Cygnus presets you have shared, and this is my fave! Very rare that I really dig someone else's preset.

I play through a forte style 1x12 with a cream alnico powered by a PS170, So I had to make a few adjustments to accommodate that. Grabbed my Santana retro and lost an hour. That ax has the best neck and in-between tone of any 2 hum ax I have played. Played AC/DC, rolled it down to just almost clean on the neck for some blues riff, and played Over the Hills on the in-between, then rolled up a couple notches on the bridge for the rockin parts, sounds fantastic and super dynamic. Now to try it with an LP.

Never thought about the 2 comps in front like you did here, usually one before and one after if at all. I played around with turning them on and off, butt you got it right man. That's the main reason to try others presets, even if it's not your thing, you can learn something new.

thanks man! Glad you like it!

But the two compressors (aka the Solo Dallas trick) wasn't my idea originally, here's a thread about it:
